As many of you know, see, hear, and discern; our World is in a Crisis. And we know that Jesus Christ is the Answer and that you and I have the Answer to this Crisis. On Friday March 1, 2024, beginning at 6:00 a.m. and continuing through Easter Sunday, March 31, 2024 ending at 6:00 a.m.  our Church will be on a 31 day “Spiritual Journey.” We are calling this “The Jehoshaphat Fast” taken from II Chronicles 20. Biblical Fasting is related to passionate praying to ask help from God, as in the example of King Jehoshaphat and the people of Judah. That is why we call this the “Jehoshaphat Fast” because we are Seeking HELP” from the Lord.

The purpose of our 31 days of Prayer and Fasting” is for God to help us to have victory in our personal lives as well as for us to become more faithful to HIM in sharing the Good News of the Gospel and winning the lost to Christ.

Starting on Friday, March 1, during Our Missions Month beginning at 6:00 a.m.…

    • We are asking you to join us Monday through Friday in prayer by way of Zoom for 31 minutes in the Morning and 31 minutes in the Evening at 6 p.m. This will help us stay accountable and encourage one another to stay the course for our personal breakthroughs as well as creating a Heart for the lost around us.
    • Also, Every Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon we will be gathering at the church for prayer and training; then we will go out into our community to pass out tracts and share the Good News Message of the Gospel with those in our community.
    • Additionally, every Sunday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. we will gather at the church for Communion and to ask help from the Lord for ourselves, Families, Friends, Communities, Nation, and our World. We are also asking you to bring someone with you that may not be churched or may not know the Lord.

Jesus is our example

Jesus also fasted (Matthew 4:2), and He assumed that His followers would also fast on occasion (Matthew 6:16–18Mark 2:20). During those forty days, when Jesus was fasting; His flesh was at its weakest, He endured relentless temptation from Satan. Satan offered Him alternatives to God’s plan, compromises that would satisfy His natural desires, and attacks upon His very identity as the Son of God (Matthew 4:3). Jesus used the Word of God, not His own strength, to defeat those temptations and remain victorious over sin. He demonstrated for us that fasting can strengthen us spiritually when we use it to draw closer to God

    • What is Fasting?  Fasting is the process of giving something up for a period of time as you get aligned with God and put your focus on Him as you seek HELP from HIM in a particular area of your life. While biblical fasting mainly focuses on giving up certain foods; Fasting can be as simple as agreeing with a friend to pray together instead of eating during a single meal time.  Or you can fast from certain foods, events, bad habits and even things that may be distracting you from spending time with the Lord and serving Him.
    • You might want to try the Daniel Fast. What is the Daniel Fast?  The Daniel fast consists of eating no meats, no sweets and no bread. You can drink water, un sweetened juice, fruits and vegetables. Based on the experience that Daniel had in Daniel 10, where he ate only fruits and vegetables for 21 days. However, as for us it will be 31days
    • A note of caution concerning fasting: those with medical conditions, especially conditions involving dietary restrictions (diabetes, for example), should consult a doctor before fasting from food. It is not wrong to take a medical condition into account when determining how to fast.

7 things you can do in preparation for God’s Blessings…
